Description
36" x 36" x 2" , oil on cross-braced, supported canvas, 2005. &ldquo The Brood&rdquo , the second in the Pelagic Worlds series, is an alien microcosm in its ecological niche. I imagine myself as an interstellar naturalist who&rsquo s traveled to another world and finds this alien species and creates the first portrait of it in the &ldquo wild&rdquo . The story that I tell might point to how it might behave, what might it eat, what is its life cycle, and so on. Its &ldquo mythic ecology&rdquo .
